Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar Pickups.
Based on Fishman Fluence Core technology, the new pickups provide revolutionary polyphony, dynamic range and articulation of Fluence technology for 4- and 5-string bass guitars. The three voices for the Fluence Soapbar were created to offer players a wide palette of sounds that cover all playing styles.

1 Volume, 1 Blend, 2 Band EQ, 3 Way Voice Control Toggle Switch.
A4 Ultra Ash’s versatility is maximized by the push/pull mode on the volume knob and the dedicated 3-way mini switch for multi-voice control that enables perfect tones for wide range of genres.
3 Way Voice Control Switch:
- Voice 1 (passive): classic, rich and round;
- Voice 2 (active): full frequencies, full dynamics;
- Voice 3 (active with medium contour): funk, Hi-Fi scooped.
The push/pull pot for volume/coil-split engages single coil mode when pulled for the same voices above but with Jazz Bass string window.

Hipshot TransTone Bridge.
The string-thru-body and top-load construction facilitates greater tonal range while adding punch and enhancing sustain, perfectly complementing the longer 34” scale’s tighter string tension and focused sound.

5pcs Maple and Panga Panga Neck.
The strength and brightness of Maple is ideally balanced with the warm midrange of Panga Panga, resulting in superb playability, feel and tonal definition.

Neck-Thru Body Construction.
When it comes to punching power and sustain, nothing beats a through-the-neck. The strings vibrate along the entire body and neck, maximizing the bass density, along with rich midrange and melodious highs.

Panga Panga Fingerboard.
An African hardwood, Panga Panga has characteristics of Wenge and produces a tight and coherent sound that mates extremely well with the instrument’s multi-laminate neck-thru-body construction.

Hipshot Ultralight Machineheads.
A4 Ultra Ash is equipped with Hipshot Ultralite Tuners (classic 20:1 tuning ratio) that is made of cast zinc with aluminum strings posts and mounting nuts, resulting in 30% weight reduction over other regular tuners and which results in improved balance and tuning accuracy.
