Svirel flute (Dudochka, Pyzhatka, etc.), made using traditional technology in the South of Siberia. Material: Siberian birch - a strong, heavy tree with a beautiful texture of golden, yellow and light brown shades, boiled in natural linseed oil. The block is made of Siberian cedar and is not impregnated with oil, which allows it to absorb excess moisture when playing without clogging the whistle and is important for beginners. The outside is covered with an alcohol solution of natural shellac.
The sound is produced easily, without effort. The instrument produces a bright, dense and even sound across the entire range, not prone to overblowing.
The range of the flute (around 1.5 octaves) allows you to play virtually all the melodies of the Russian folk repertoire, as well as many popular melodies of world music. The flute gives a warm, lively timbre. The tuning is diatonic.
By complicating the fingering, you can play some semitones, which makes it possible to play in different keys.
The tuning is the same as that of standard recorders. According to the European classification, this is a Renaissance recorder.
