Thomastik-Infeld Plectrum Acoustic Guitar Strings are soft sounding and have low tension on the bottom end. The plain strings are made of tin coated steel. The wound strings have a silk inlay combined with a highly flexible steel core. A, D, and G strings are polished bronze flatwound, while the low E is polished bronze roundwound.
The combination of low tension, round and flat wound combinations, and a silk inner layer give Plectrum strings precise overtone control, a classic warm bronze sound, and playability.
The low, balanced tension of these strings can extend the playing life of many older guitars with loose necks and other ageing issue.
