Prohor Lapin Workshop

The workshop of Prokhor Lapin was founded in 2006 by a young family with great ambitions from the city of Novosibirsk. Prokhor Lapin, who gave it his name and Natalia Lapina, who made the artistic design of instruments. It all started with making gusli, but in 2007 the first 22 stringed levers harp was made.
Since there was no production of components in Russia, and the instruments themselves were in single copies, Prokhor Lapin began to develop the whole technological process almost from scratch. This approach did not promise quick results, but allowed to completely localize production.
Nevertheless by 2012 the instruments of the workshop were purchased by several professional performers, such as Olga Maksimova and Lumiere Tales, which served as an impetus for increasing demand and entering small-scale production. At the moment the workshop has produced more than 200 harps, instruments are preferred by students of music schools and their teachers in more than 10 cities of Russia and the CIS. Instruments are completed with levers, strings and bags of own production, which allows to reduce the cost of harps that does not depend on the exchange rate.
