Bonade ligatures were developed by world renowned performer and educator Daniel Bonade in the 1950s. These classic ligatures are still made today by Herouard-Benard (HB), a historic French woodwind company.
Bonade ligatures are known for free vibrations due to their "pressure ribs", which hold the reed securely at points just off-center of the reed, allowing the reed's edges to vibrate freely.
