In 1957, Promark became the first American company to market drumsticks made of Japanese oak shira kashi. For the past 60 years, drummers have enjoyed the sticks of the Shira Kashi Oak Classic line with their comfortable weight, strength and pronounced articulation. Today oak drumsticks series has been expanded with three new models within the Select Balance system, and today drummers can choose their favorite model with a forward or backward balance shifted.

A new enlarged tip in the shape of an acorn for warm and rich tone. Japanese oak Shira Kashi (Shira Kashi) has a density and weight that is felt in the hand and provides excellent clarity while playing on ride cymbals. Drumsticks made of it have exceptional strength and last much longer than sticks made of other types of wood.
