All my pieces in 4 hands that are compiled in the IV and V book of the series From Five to Fifty are recorded on this CD for the first time. They are recorded by me together with the talented young pianist Ekaterina Kniazeva. Also one can find on this CD sone new pieces for children and youth, from the cycle First Steps on the Keyboard, Three Forest Stories and From Russia Fairy tales. For more older and more experienced pianists the main piece from the cycle Tender years – Romantic tunes, Many other pieces for the pianists of various ages and piano skill levels are presented in this album as well.
Regarding my manner of playing I could say that it was always improvisational. The music image, the emotional content of the music, the poetry of sounds - this is what I am mainly interested in and not in being scrupulously true to all ink markings on the note sheet. This is why I am rather hesitant in offering my recording as an example to be repeated by the pupil but rather as a material that shoulf fire up an imagination of the young (or not so young) performer.
