I. Pushechnikov is respected as an outstanding teacher. He wrote about 100 methodical works, including "School of playing the oboe", "School of recorder playing", "Reader pedagogical repertoire for oboe", 9 notebooks of sketches of varying degrees of difficulty, as well as numerous transcriptions, processing, arrangement for Oboe and piano and original compositions for wind instruments, chamber ensembles.
This "School of Ensemble Playing" consists of 3 parts and is designed for children 5-7 years. Author believes it is important to involve young musicians for to the ensemble playing as early as possible: duet (Part I), trio (part II), quartet (Part III). All musical material of the textbook is set in the order of gradual increase of difficulty: from easy songs to the detailed works of Russian and foreign composers. There is also a necessary for teacher methodical instructions and several preparatory exercises.
The publication is recommended for students of preparatory and elementary music school and their teachers.
