This collection presents a simplified arrangement for piano of fragments of the opera "Prince Igor" by A.P. Borodin (1833–1887). This arrangement is based on the clavier edition of the author's version of the opera, prepared by A. V. Bulycheva. The edition restored the author's sequence and names of paintings and numbers, preserved the original piano texture. Dynamic designations and performance instructions correspond to autographs.
The arrangement of fragments of this composition, made by Olga Katargina, is technically accessible to music lovers and every student, it does not require a long time to learn. This will allow replenishing the concert and pedagogical repertoire of novice pianists. The introductory article contains brief information about the history of the creation of the work, as well as a biographical note on the life of the composer, which will broaden the student's horizons.
The publication is addressed to a wide range of music lovers and students of musical educational institutions.
