The fifth edition of the "Album of a Young Musician" is composed of rarely published pieces by foreign and Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries: from the somewhat restrained emotionally Brahms, the graceful ornamentalist Chopin to the sensual, dramatic Tchaikovsky and the fiery virtuoso Liszt. The works are designed for the most gifted students of high school music schools and secondary specialized educational institutions (of course, these pieces can also be performed by students of conservatories).
An interesting fact is that all of the composers included in the collection became famous as pianists, leaving an indelible mark on the history of piano music of the Romantic era - a time when, even when performing other people’s works, the individual interpretation of the performer, free interpretation, and the ability to improvise were welcomed and considered correct. The modern performer is invited to become the same "great romantic of the piano."
