Frederic Francois Chopin (1810-1849) - Polish composer, pianist, teacher, one of the geniuses of musical romanticism. Chopin interpreted or "recreated" a number of musical genres in his own way: he created a romantic prelude and a piano ballad, turned the mazurka, polonaise, waltz, scherzo into independent musical statements. Chopin is the author of many works for pianoforte, he wrote 4 ballads, 4 scherzos, etudes, impromptu, nocturnes…
Chopin created brilliant variations in 1833. The full title of the work is Brilliant Variations in B flat major on the theme of the rondo "Je vends des scapulaires" from the opera "Louis" by F. Herold and F. Halevi. This large concert piece was composed at the time of writing the early mazurkas and nocturnes, shortly after the creation of the First Piano Concerto and the first notebook of etudes.
The piece consists of an introduction, a theme and variations.
The publication is recommended to professional pianists, students of conservatories, music colleges, as well as senior classes of children's music schools and art lyceums.
