The Lord of the Rings is a three-film series based on J. R. R. Tolkien's novel of the same name. The musical accompaniment to "The Lord of the Rings" was written by the famous Canadian composer and conductor Howard Shore. For the soundtracks to the films "The Fellowship of the Ring" and "Return of the King" Shore was awarded three "Oscar" awards (including the song "Westward" performed by Annie Lennox). The collection includes selected themes from the music of the film trilogy. The publication is addressed to middle school students of children's music schools and studios, as well as to a wide range of music lovers.
