The first original Admirals were developed and created at the Leningrad Plant of Electric Musical Instruments on the basis of the Sports Products Plant, which was part of LPOIMI. The successor of this enterprise today is LLC LenMuzdetal.
Admiral guitars are a modern reissue of the AK Admiral electric guitar and bass set, developed by the master of the Leningrad factory of musical instruments Alexander Alekseevich KRASNOSCHEKOV in 1984-85. The prefix "AK" was deciphered, depending on the context of the situation, either as "concert ensemble" or as the initials of the master.
The Lütner catalog contains both models of the legendary AK Admiral guitars in their modern incarnation.
