Meinl

The Roland Meinl Musikinstrumente was founded in 1951 by Roland Meinl and originally produced wind instruments. The first cymbals were cut out of metal sheets, hammered and lathed by Roland himself. Production has developed rapidly and already in 1971 Meinl became the first company in the world to offer pre-pack cymbals sets, and in 1984 launched a series designed for professional musicians.
"From drummers to drummers" - this is how Meinl philosophy is expressed so shortly. Not only specialists of the development department are drummers, but also a large part of the company's employees. This allows to produce not only traditional products with a well-known sound, but also to search with knowledge for new sounds, new forms and new materials, giving the musicians the opportunity to fully express themselves.
Meinl is the only manufacturer of cymbals that uses six different alloys in its work, which makes the range of the proposed sound incredibly wide and varied. Not forgetting the traditions, but constantly striving for the future, Meinl is most proud of the trust that the drummers provide to the company year after year.
