The book is dedicated to the works of Anton Ferdinand Tietz (1742-1810) well known in St. Petersburg German violin virtuoso and composer in late XVIII - early XIX century. The authors of this volume has been undertaken an intensive search of manuscripts and editions of Tietz works in archives and libraries in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Vienna. Some copies were received from London, Frankfurt, Uppsala.
Lifetime publications and manuscripts of works preserved in single copies, have become rarities. Therefore, the purpose of this publication - to make available, as far as possible, for the performers, audience, music historians significant amount of instrumental works of the composer.
