Pirastro engineers were faced with the task of developing strings using innovative designs and excellent materials, as well as creating the machines necessary for the production of such strings. This new idea laid the foundation for making changes in materials and processing methods so that the strings acquired an additional tonal dimension. This new dimension reveals the instrument in all tonal colors and gives musicians the technical freedom to fully focus on their playing.

During development, Pirastro focused on reducing shrinkage time. Experts have conducted an impressive amount of research and analysis to develop a device for measuring shrinkage time so that each individual string can be tuned before shipment. This allows the materials used in the string to adjust and settle, which significantly reduces the shrinkage time.
