The rounded edge provides greater contact of the shell with the plastic for a more powerful and slightly shorter sound, compared to 45-degree edges. The result is a warm, dry yet resonant sound, which is so often heard on old recordings.

The drum shells are made of nine layers of wood with use of the Cross Laminated Tension Free Process (CLTF) — cross plywood without tension. As a result of many years of research by the masters of Sonor, CLTF technology provides excellent stability, extended resonance and bright sound.

Redesigned original Superprofil rims with a triple flange, 2.3 mm thick.

New lags with the possibility of fine tuning and the TuneSafe function preventing the loosening of the tuning screws and guarantees the stability of the setting even in extreme conditions. Tuning screws with square heads and fine thread pitch for the most accurate adjustment.
