Symphonic and jazz trumpet players have always experimented with ways to create a darker sound, using various add-ons to the mouthpiece to add weight and bulk to it. The Bach MegaTone mouthpiece takes these experiments one step further.
The creation of MegaTone began with the original design of Vincent Bach's mouthpiece, the outer volume of which was more than doubled. This darkens the sound and allows you to play at higher dynamic levels without distortion, while a slightly larger mouth provides less resistance and more flexibility. The result is a warmer, more powerful sound that adds a new dimension to live, pop and jazz playing.

The mouthpiece is quite large in diameter, producing a volume and lively sound.
