Description:

9785222055809 Musical Literature 4th year. Russian music of the 20th century, Phoenix Publishing House

The appearance of this textbook is due to the fact that the traditional Musical Literature Program for Children's Music School was published in 1956 and, without changing qualitatively, then went through several reprints (1962, 1970, 1979, 1982). Naturally, many settings and thematic plans of the standard program are outdated and do not meet the requirements of new approaches and methods of musical education of children.
In recent years, other models of the program have begun to appear, curricula that adapt the content of the course to new historical and socio-cultural conditions, to new trends in the comprehensive aesthetic education of children. This textbook is based on many years of experience in teaching the subject "Musical Literature" in the Children's Music School, set out in the author's programs and methodological recommendations of E. Lisyanskaya, Yu. Ageeva, L. Khotuntsov. M. Kuklinskaya and others.
The most significant changes in these programs affected Russian music of the 20th century. Therefore, in addition to traditional topics, the manual included coverage of the life and work of composers of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries A. Lyadov, V. Kalinnikov, S. Rachmaninov, A. Scriabin, I. Stravinsky. The state program does not touch upon the music of composers of the second half of the 20th century. This manual includes sections on G. Sviridov, R. Shchedrin, as well as an overview lesson on the representatives of the Russian avant-garde E. Denisov, S. Gubaidulina and A. Schnittke. The last chapters of the manual are a brief overview of the development of jazz and a small glossary of jazz terms.
When creating this manual, we took into account the fact that the main tasks of music schools include not only the development of children's musical abilities, understanding the basics of classical and modern musical creativity, but also the preparation of active listeners and music lovers. Therefore, our book also includes additional fact-finding materials. They are grouped under the heading "They tell that ..." and are addressed to the broad masses of the children's audience.
